Junius Gonzales is the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Montclair State University, starting in March 2022. Junius has an impressive background in academic leadership, having previously served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at New York Institute of Technology and The University of North Carolina System. Junius has also held various positions at prestigious institutions such as The University of Texas at El Paso and Georgetown University. With a diverse educational background including a MD from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and an MBA from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business, Junius brings a wealth of experience and expertise to their role.
