William Schmidt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in auditing, financial management, and leadership within both governmental and non-profit organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Auditor (Interim Bureau Chief) for the State of Montana since January 2012, William efficiently manages audit personnel and resources to fulfill annual plans and address senior management requests. Additionally, as the Commander of Division 10 and Montana State Liaison Officer for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary since August 2011, William provides leadership and oversight of personnel and resources for search and rescue operations and water safety education. Prior experience includes financial management at Water Right Solutions, Inc., and tax accounting at Hamilton & Co LLP CPAs. William holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Gonzaga University and participated in the Montana Governor Student Exchange Program in Japan.
