George E. Matthews has worked as the Chief Medical Officer at Monroe Plan for Medical Care. George E. also held the positions of Chief of Service, Department of Internal Medicine at KALEIDA HEALTH SYSTEM, starting in May 2016.

George E. Matthews completed their education with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University between 1975 and 1979. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Sciences (Sc.B) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Brown University from 1971 to 1975. Additionally, in 2023, they obtained a certification in Biomedical Research Investigators from the CITI Program.
