Alan MacEachern is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in information technology and application development. Currently serving as the Director of Information Technology for Monroe County BOCC since October 2015, Alan oversees the operation, support, and maintenance of all IT solutions and manages the County's websites and television station. Prior experience includes notable roles at Carnival Cruise Line, where Alan progressed through various director-level positions focused on applications development, business analysis, quality assurance, and disaster recovery, managing large teams and collaborating directly with the Chief Information Officer. Earlier in the career, Alan held positions such as Software Quality Assurance Manager at Decision Consultants and Field Support Analyst at DHL. Alan holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on Computer Science from the College of Charleston.
