Abigail Barton currently serves as the Deputy Head of Communications for Climate Change at Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government since November 2023. Prior to this role, Abigail held various positions at Monmouthshire County Council, including Head of Communications and Communications and Engagement Manager, starting in November 2014. Abigail's extensive background in marketing includes significant roles at Lloyds Banking Group from July 2005 to October 2014, with titles such as Marketing Manager and Senior Proposition Development Manager. Earlier experience includes positions at DMP, CFW, MI Marketing, and Enhance Marketing Communications, primarily in account management and marketing. Abigail holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Direct & Interactive Marketing from the Institute of Direct Marketing and a BSc Econ Hons in Industrial Relations and Sociology from Cardiff University.
