John Castberg is a Software Engineer at Monkeybrains since April 2024, focusing on building internal tools. Prior to this, John served as Tech Team Lead at Extole from August 2019 to April 2023, managing a team of front-end engineers and collaborating with the Product team on technical specifications for new features. John's role as a Full Stack Engineer at Extole involved creating and maintaining a JavaScript SDK and developing customer acquisition programs. Additionally, John taught as a Software Engineering Instructor at Hack Reactor @ Galvanize in 2019, mentoring students in their technical development. Early career experience includes coordinating account services at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco and holding various customer service positions. John holds a certification in Computer Software Engineering from Hack Reactor and a high school diploma from Oakmont High School.
