Muthukrishnan Krishnamurthy has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Muthukrishnan is currently employed at MongoDB as the Director of Engineering since March 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Engineering Lead - Atlas Charts at MongoDB from November 2020 to March 2023.

Muthukrishnan worked on Web 2.0 Research Labs, where they coordinated with design and backend teams, built interactive data visualizations, and developed responsive web views using HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, and Ruby on Rails.
