Kelvin Ng

Kelvin Ng, CFA CAIA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kelvin began their career as a player in the Prime League for the Singapore Armed Forces Football Club in 1998. Kelvin then served as an officer in the Singapore Armed Forces from 1998 to 2000.

In 2004, Kelvin joined the Investment Company of the People's Republic of China as a Portfolio Manager, where they worked until 2009. During this time, they developed expertise in portfolio management.

In 2009, Kelvin joined the Asia Competitiveness Institute at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy as a Research Assistant for a few months. Later that year, they transitioned to the UOB Life Assurance as an Investment Manager for a brief period.

In 2009, Kelvin joined the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), where they held various roles over the years. Kelvin first served as the Lead Portfolio Manager within the Reserve Management Department's FX, Liquidity, and Gold Division. Kelvin then became a Team Lead for G10 FX and later Asia Rates & FX. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as the Lead Portfolio Manager in the New York Representative Office. In 2018, they became the Head of the Global Macro Division, leading the division until 2020. Kelvin is currently the Head of the Portfolio Management & Analytics Division at MAS, a position they have held since 2020.

In addition to their work experience, Kelvin Ng is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society that recognizes business excellence.

Overall, Kelvin Ng has a strong background in portfolio management, global macro, and analytics, with experience in both the public and private sectors.

Kelvin Ng, CFA CAIA, holds a Master's degree in Global Finance from both NYU Stern School of Business and HKUST Business School. Kelvin also obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. Kelvin completed their undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore, earning a B.Eng in Computer Engineering, and briefly studied at the University of Canterbury for the same degree. Additionally, they are certified as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst by the CAIA Association and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
