Mikel Ruiz de Azua has a diverse work experience spanning from 2005 to the present. Mikel started their career as an Intern at Enviu in 2010 and later worked as a Project Responsible at Mondragon Assembly starting in February 2021. Before that, they worked as a Mechanical Project Technician at Mondragon Assembly from May 2013. Prior to their time at Mondragon Assembly, Mikel worked as an Engineer in R&D at DORLET, S.A. from October 2012 to May 2013. Mikel also gained experience as a Secondary School Teacher Intern at Biurdana IES - Eunate IES from March 2012 to May 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Industrial Design Engineer at CVL - Sistemas Valle Leniz from October 2007 to September 2008 and as an OT Intern at Fagor Arrasate S. Coop. from July 2005 to October 2006.

Mikel Ruiz de Azua completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from Mondragon Unibertsitatea, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Secondary Education with a specialization in Technology at UPNA - Universidad Pública de Navarra, attending from 2011 to 2012. In between, from 2008 to 2011, they studied at Politecnico di Torino, although the specific degree or field of study is not mentioned.
