Qiang Liu is a seasoned structural engineer with extensive experience in spacecraft, drones, and composite materials. Currently serving as a Senior Structural Engineer at Momentus since August 2020, Qiang Liu specializes in hand and finite element analysis (FEA) for spacecraft structures and components, including the Vigoride project. Previous roles include Mechanical Engineer at Insitu Inc, where expertise involved structural analysis and design for drones, and Contract Structure Engineer at The Spaceship Company, focusing on primary components of aircraft and spacecraft. At Orbital ATK, Qiang Liu conducted static stress and dynamic analysis for rocket and satellite components, while earlier experience includes wind turbine blade design and composite engineering at Modular Wind Energy and Quantum Technologies, respectively. Qiang Liu holds a PhD in Polymer Composites from the University of Connecticut.
