David Orlando

Computational Biology Consultant at MOMA Therapeutics

David Orlando has over 10 years of experience in the field of computational biology. David began their career in 2008 as a Consultant for GrassRoots Biotechnology. David then joined the Whitehead Institute in 2009 as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate. In 2012, they became a Consultant for Duke University. From 2013 to 2019, they held various roles at Syros Pharmaceuticals, including Associate Director, Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist. In 2014, they began organizing for the Boston Computational Biology & Bioinformatics Meetup. In 2019, Orlando became a Computational Biology Consultant for MOMA Therapeutics, Civetta Therapeutics, and Third Rock Ventures. David also founded Orlando Data Science, where they serve as Owner & Founder of Computational Biology Consulting.

David Orlando obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from Duke University in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology, General from the University of Rochester in 2003. David attended Pittsford Sutherland prior to that.
