Twila Mathis has worked in the design field since 2015. Twila started their career as a Member Order Specialist at Sam's Club. In 2017, they interned at SIDE: Sutton Intiviative for Design Education, where they updated the information and history on the chairs, redid the timeline, organized events, gave individual tours, and redesigned the poster wall. In 2018, they worked for The Tile Shop as an Assistant Retail Manager, Senior Design Associate, and Sales Associate. That same year, they also worked as a Design Assistant at The Lighting Loft. In 2022, they began working as a Junior Designer at MOI and a Design Assistant at Rock River Homes, LLC.

Twila Mathis completed their Associate of Arts- Interior Design from Forsyth Technical Community College in 2018. Twila studied Interior Design during their time there, starting in 2016.
