Alvaro Omar Macias Fernandez

Alvaro Omar Macias Fernandez has a diverse work experience that includes positions in various companies and research internships. In 2014, they completed a research internship at UQTR - Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Mechatronics Engineer and Electric Engineer at CINVESTAV, Guadalajara. In 2018, they were a Student Researcher at Hyteon. In 2020, they took on a research internship at Laboratoire Ampère - Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, working on a collaborative project studying the implementation of Lithium-Ion capacitors in a hybrid fuel cell system. Currently, since 2021, Alvaro is the Chief Technology Officer at Moduly.

Alvaro Omar Macias Fernandez began their education in 2010 at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechatronics Engineering, graduating in 2015. In the same year, they also obtained a certificate in Curso General de Propiedad Intelectual from the World Intellectual Property Organization.

In 2015, Alvaro attended Universidad de Guadalajara, where they pursued a Diplomatura in Formacion y capacitacion por competencias for a year.

In 2016, they enrolled in Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and completed a Master's degree in Génie Électrique (Electrical Engineering) in 2018. Following this, they continued their academic journey at the same university and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical Engineering, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
