Maya Viswanathan has a diverse work experience in fields such as technology, science, and research. Maya started their career in 2013 as a Senior Project Fellow at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, where they analyzed samples and prepared reports for various industries. Maya also gained experience in using instruments such as DLS and confocal microscopy. In 2015, Maya worked as a Senior Research Assistant at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, specializing in the synthesis of alloy nanoparticles for electrochemistry applications. Maya successfully synthesized catalysts and characterized them using various techniques. Maya also handled gas cylinders and conducted day-to-day inspections. In 2016, Maya joined Module Innovations as a Research Scientist, where they focused on synthesis and surface modification of nanomaterials and various nanostructures. Maya was involved in writing manuscripts, patent writing/searching, and planning experiments for the junior team. In 2019, they started their PhD at National Chemical Laboratory and continued their research journey. Recently, Maya became the Chief Technology Officer at Module Innovations, taking the lead in technological advancements and innovations.

Outside of their educational pursuits, Maya has also been involved with the Indian Army's National Cedet Corps (NCC), obtaining this qualification in June 2008.
