Robert Glynn has a diverse work experience spanning various financial roles and industries. Robert is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Modular Automation since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Galway Clinic for almost a decade in the position of Chief Financial Officer, where they provided strategic leadership and finance partnering for the executive and wider management team. Robert also led business development initiatives and was responsible for negotiating contracts with insurers. Before joining Galway Clinic, Robert held the roles of Cost Accounting Manager and Senior Cost Accountant, where they developed and implemented an integrated costing model, supported budgeting and cost containment programs, and conducted financial analysis and capital allocation planning. Robert began their career at Kerry, where they progressed from Junior Cost Accountant to Senior Cost Accountant and eventually to the role of Plant Accountant. Their responsibilities at Kerry included inventory management, product costing, commercial and operational analysis, as well as preparation of management accounts, budgeting, and quarterly forecasting. Robert has also gained experience as a Financial Analyst at Boston Scientific and as a Cost Accountant at Thermo King. Overall, Robert Glynn brings extensive financial expertise and a track record of leadership and strategic planning to their current role as Chief Financial Officer at Modular Automation.
Robert Glynn attended the University of Galway from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained their B.Comm degree in Accounting. After that, from 2002 to 2005, they pursued their Chartered Management Accountant qualification.
