David McMurtrie has held a variety of positions in the legal field since 2007. David began their career as a Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable Darlene O'Brien in Washtenaw County Trial Court in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 2008, they moved to Pretzel & Stouffer, Chartered, where they served as an Associate Attorney. In 2014, they joined Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, PLLC as a Senior Associate. In 2017, they became the CEO of ModuGo.

David McMurtrie received their Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 2005. David then attended the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where they obtained their Juris Doctor in 2008.
