Walter Jones has extensive work experience, beginning in 1983 with the US Air Force, where they served as Staff Sergeant and supervised personnel and monitored installation, operations, and maintenance of tactical and fixed wideband, troposcatter, and satellite communications equipment. In 1993, they began working for Aviat Networks as a Sales Support Specialist, experienced in all Aviat Eclipse and obsolescent products, including all Eclipse TDM & Ethernet IP Protocols. Walter then moved to ModUcom in 2012, where they worked as a Regional Account Manager and was responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue. Most recently, they have been working for Accelerate Education Inc. since 2018, where they are an Account Manager.

Walter Jones obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Air Force College between 1984 and 1986. Prior to this, they attended Bowie High School from 1978 to 1982.
