Wade Davis is an accomplished professional in the fields of computational science and bioinformatics, currently serving as the Vice President of Computational Science and Head of Digital for Research at Moderna since April 2022. In this role, Wade leads digital initiatives across three teams focused on scientific software engineering, data integration, and artificial intelligence applications. Prior to Moderna, Wade held the position of Vice President of Analytics at Karius, overseeing multiple teams in assay development and computational biology. At AbbVie, as Global Head of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Wade managed a large team responsible for genomic analyses across various therapeutic areas. Wade's earlier academic roles include positions at the University of Missouri and Baylor University, alongside a bioinformatics training fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Wade's educational background includes a PhD in Statistics from the University of Missouri-Columbia and dual degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Armstrong State University.
