Samantha L. currently serves as Lead Counsel at Modern Treasury since October 2022, following a tenure in a similar role at Credit Karma from January 2017 to September 2022. Previously, Samantha held positions as Corporate Counsel and Policy Director at Safe Shepherd from 2013 to 2015, and as an Attorney at Kreindler & Kreindler LLP during 2011-2012. Early career experiences include externships at The Recording Industry Association of America and The Recording Academy in 2010, a fellowship at The Center for Legal and Court Technology from 2007 to 2010, and a role as Research Assistant to Fred Lederer, Chancellor Professor of Law from 2008 to 2009. Samantha also worked as a Compliance Specialist at Smiths Aerospace from 2006 to 2007 and gained research experience as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in 2005. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and English Language & Literature from Smith College.
