Mike Ortiz has a diverse background in IT, starting as a System Administrator at Kit Carson Electric Cooperative in 1999. Mike then moved on to roles at Rackspace Hosting, Anheuser-Busch, Catalyze.io, Reinsurance Group of America, Medicom Health Interactive, Connectria Hosting, Bayer Crop Science, Image API, and currently at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. as a Senior Principal Engineer since September 2023. Their experience includes roles such as System Engineer, Sr. System Engineer, Sr. Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, and Senior Platform Engineer.

Mike Ortiz received their High School Diploma from Taos High School in 1996. In 2017, they obtained two certifications from Amazon Web Services - AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional and AWS Solutions Architect - Associate.
