Kate Schwaller

Director Of Individual And Corporate Giving at Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA)

Kate Schwaller has extensive experience in the field of development and fundraising. Kate most recently worked as the Director of Individual and Corporate Giving at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) since January 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Major Gifts at MOCSA from May 2018 to January 2021.

Before joining MOCSA, Kate was an Associate Director of Individual Giving at Make-A-Wish® Illinois from April 2015 to November 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Creighton University as the Director of Development from June 2013 to April 2015 and as the Associate Director of Development, Reunion Giving from May 2012 to June 2013.

Kate's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Development at Drumm Farm Center for Children from May 2006 to April 2011, the Community Development Manager at the American Cancer Society from May 2005 to May 2006, and the Educational Programs and Volunteer Manager at the American Royal Association from August 2004 to May 2005.

Kate Schwaller started their education journey in 2000 at Truman State University, where they earned their Bachelor's of Arts degree in Communication-Science and Psychology in 2004. In 2004-2005, they pursued a certification in Volunteer Management from the Volunteer Management Institute. Later, in 2013, they attended Creighton University and completed their Masters degree in Liberal Arts in 2015. During the same year, they also received training in Donor Engagement Process - Gift Officer Training from Plus Delta Partners. Most recently, in 2019-2020, they participated in the Central Exchange Emerging Leaders Program, focusing on Leadership Studies.
