Joe Chen has held various leadership roles throughout their work experience. Joe started in 2002 as the Chairman & CEO of Moatable. In 2014, they became an Investor/Board Advisor at Aspiration.com. From 2017 onwards, they took on multiple board member positions at companies such as Trucker Path, TetraMem - Accelerate The World, Faraday Dynamics, 247PRO, and Resonea, Inc. In 2018, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Chime Technologies Inc and also took on the role of Chairman/CEO at Oak Pacific Investment. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Freshgogo as a Board Member.

Joe Chen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Delaware from 1990 to 1993. Joe then pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed from 1993 to 1995. Joe furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Stanford University between 1997 and 1999.
