Daniel Reichman is a Director in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisition practice focusing on larger complex transactions. Daniel has a keen ability to analyze and summarize complex accounting and financial data to arrive at top-level decisions for financial planning and strategic advisory practices.
Daniel has achieved results for leading organizations in New York, Singapore and Taiwan with expertise in Asian finance. As Director of Corporate Finance for CIBC World Markets in Asia, Daniel focused on structured loan products to businesses in Taiwan and was heavily involved in derivative transactions with Hong Kong and mainland China. Daniel is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.
As a Manager in the Financial Recovery Services department for the accounting firm BDO Seidman, LLP, Daniel advised companies and creditors on maximizing recovery from insolvency. He was debtor advisor to The Buffalo Sabres franchise during their 2002 bankruptcy in which they emerged and were sold. He also served as financial advisor to certain creditors of Worldcom, achieving better than expected recoveries.
Daniel began his career in Chase Manhattan Bank's Recovery & Restructuring department, purchasing distressed debt in the retail and footwear industries and managing other insolvency situations.
Daniel holds a CIRA: Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and earned an M.B.A. in Finance and Management with honors from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he assumed many leadership positions. He graduated cum laude from Williams College in 1992 with a B.A. in Political Economy and Asian Studies.
