Stephen Mitchell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Stephen began their career in 1992 at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), where they held various administrative and managerial roles until 2007. From 2007 to 2014, they worked at the UK Ministry of Justice, first as a Project Manager and then as a Lean Practitioner, responsible for implementing Continuous Improvement techniques. Since 2014, they have been with mkodo, initially as a Digital Content Executive Producer, where they managed mobile applications, wireframed mobile products, and maintained the company's website. Currently, they serve as a Content Lead, utilizing their expertise in creating and managing digital content.

Stephen Mitchell attended Southborough Boys School in Surbiton from 1984 to 1990. Stephen later attended Kingston College from 1990 to 1992, where they studied Business/Office Automation/Technology.
