Kimberly Thornbury's work experience begins in 1993 when they served as the Director of Student Life at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1999, they joined Union University as the Senior Vice President for Student Services/Dean of Students, where they provided leadership to various divisions related to student affairs. In 2013, Kimberly transitioned to The King's College, taking on the role of VP for Institutional Research & Strategic Planning, Enrollment Mgt and Communication. During their time at The King's College, they implemented low-cost, high-impact strategies for success and achieved significant increases in various areas, including student enrollment, retention, and average ACT scores. Kimberly Thornbury earned a Master's degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville between 1994 and 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication and Media Studies from Messiah University from 1989 to 1993.
