Trina Faleer has over 15 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic HR leadership. Trina has held various roles in different companies, demonstrating their expertise in managing HR functions and partnering with senior executives.
Trina's most recent position was as the Director of Human Resources at Mizkan America, where they served from 2015 to present. Prior to that, they worked as the Interim Vice President and Director of Human Resources at the same company from 2022 to 2022.
Before their time at Mizkan America, Trina founded and served as the VP Director of Strategic HR at Strategic HR Leadership in the Greater Chicago Area in 2014. Trina also worked as the Vice President of Human Resources at Focus Products Group International, LLC from 2014 to 2015, where they supported 250 employees across six locations and managed three direct reports.
Trina's previous experience includes roles such as Director, Strategic HR Business Partner at Follett School and Library Group from 2012 to 2014, Senior Human Resources Manager at Fujifilm from 2010 to 2012, and President of The Faleer Group, their own HR consulting firm, from 2009 to 2010.
Earlier in their career, Trina was the Director Human Resources - Americas at AkzoNobel from 2008 to 2009 and held two Director-level roles at Sara Lee Corporation from 2004 to 2007.
Throughout their career, Trina has demonstrated their ability to lead HR teams, drive organizational change, implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, and manage complex HR projects. Trina has experience working with different industries, including manufacturing, CPG, and specialty chemicals.
Trina Faleer attended Central Michigan University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Trina later pursued a Master's degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the same university. Trina has also obtained additional certifications in their field, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, which they received in February 2018. In January 2019, Trina obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
