Moitreya Chatterjee is a Research Scientist at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories since August 2022, specializing in Computer Vision, Audio Analysis, and Machine Learning. Prior to this role, extensive research was conducted as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2016 to December 2022, focusing on compact deep learning models and generative models for computer vision and multimodal reasoning. Moitreya's experience includes research internships at NEC Laboratories America, Inc., and various roles at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, as well as earlier research positions at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, and the USC Institute for Creative Technologies. Educational qualifications encompass a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, and a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata.
