Koon Teo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in wireless communication systems and advanced materials science. Currently serving as a Strategy Project Leader and Senior Principal Scientist at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories since January 2006, Koon Teo's research focuses on digital transmitters, machine learning amplifiers for 5G communication networks, GaN device physics, and metamaterial applications. Previously, Koon Teo held the position of Senior Team Leader at the same organization, where contributions included the development of next-generation broadband wireless communications and participation in WiMAX and LTE standards. Koon Teo's earlier career includes a role as an Advisor and Manager at Nortel Networks, leading teams in research and product development. Koon Teo holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Engineering Physics from the University of Alberta.
