Cristiana Banila, PhD, has a diverse and impressive work experience. Cristiana'smost recent role is as the Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Officer at Mitra Bio, where they are leading the development of a platform for skin longevity using non-invasive sampling and data science. Prior to this, they served as an Entrepreneur In Residence at Oxford Foundry, where they supported high-potential start-up companies affiliated with the University of Oxford. Cristiana also worked as a Consultant in Healthcare and Life Sciences at Adelphi Real World, providing expertise in the industry.

Cristiana Banila, PhD, has a diverse educational background with a focus on molecular biology, virology, public health economics, and entrepreneurship. Cristiana completed their high school education at Colegiul National "Vasile Alecsandri" from 2009 to 2013, specializing in natural sciences. In 2013, Cristiana enrolled at the University of Oxford, where they pursued a Bachelor of Biochemistry (Molecular and Cellular) degree, which they successfully completed in 2017. During their time at Oxford, they obtained a certification in IELTS with a score of 8.0/9.0 from the British Council in April 2013.

In 2016, Cristiana pursued a Master's Degree in Virology and Public Health Economics at Princeton University, which they completed in 2017. Additionally, in June 2012, they obtained a certification in Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) from the University of Cambridge.

Following their Master's degree, they enrolled at Queen Mary University of London in 2017 to pursue a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Epidemiology, which they completed in 2021.
