Vitali is a recognized expert in reliability and risk analysis. He is a former Georgia Tech’s School of Aerospace Engineering professor. He led many projects for Air Force, NASA (Shuttle, Hubble, and other), IBM, GE, Pratt & Whitney, and Siemens. He consulted the U.S. Department of Transportation on FAA aviation safety policies.
