Melissa Jones, CFRE, currently serves as the Managing Director of Philanthropy at the Missouri Historical Society since November 2022. Previously, as the Divisional Executive Director of Development at The Salvation Army from September 2020 to November 2022, Melissa led a comprehensive team responsible for fundraising, marketing, and volunteer management across multiple service units, achieving a significant annual fundraising milestone of $20 million. Melissa's extensive experience includes roles at St. Louis University High, where Melissa was Vice President of Institutional Advancement, successfully raising $57 million for the Go Forth campaign, and at organizations such as the World Chess Hall of Fame and Jazz St. Louis, where substantial increases in fundraising were achieved. With a background in corporate compliance and volunteer services, Melissa holds a BA in HR Management from Lindenwood University and completed executive education at Harvard Kennedy School in nonprofit leadership.
