Jon Hessel currently serves as the Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students at Missouri Baptist University since August 2022, and also holds a position as an Adjunct Professor in Christian Studies. Prior experience includes serving as Campus Pastor at Waypoint Church from October 2020 to August 2022, and as Pastor at The Journey from August 2008 to October 2020. Previous roles at Missouri Baptist University include Campus Director and Director of Resident Life from May 2000 to June 2010, where Jon was responsible for program oversight, strategic planning, budgeting, and staff management. Additionally, Jon has experience in admissions, having been promoted through various sales leadership roles to Director, managing a team of twelve. Educational background includes a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Missouri Baptist University.
