Kathleen Barnett is an experienced museum professional currently serving as the Director of Collections Management & Registration at the Mississippi Museum of Art since June 2019. Prior to this role, Kathleen worked as a Historic Resources Specialist/Collections Manager at the Mississippi Department of Archives and History from October 2014 to June 2019, and briefly held the position of Curatorial and Collections Intern at The Grace Museum. Kathleen's early career includes significant positions such as Graduate Assistant and Work Study Student at Baylor University Institute for Oral History, where responsibilities involved processing oral history interviews and digitizing records. Additional experience includes roles as Collections Associate and Intern at the Dr Pepper Museum and Free Enterprise Institute, as well as an Oral History Intern at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Arts in Museum Studies, both from Baylor University.
