Anne Lewis has extensive work experience in the political and communications field. Anne founded MissionWired in 2007, where they served as the CEO and worked with various political clients and nonprofits. Prior to that, they were the Deputy Executive Director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in 2004. Anne also worked as a freelance communications consultant from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they held positions at Podesta Group, the National Economic Council at The White House, and the U.S. Department of Labor. Anne has served as an Assistant Secretary for Policy and Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor, and as a Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy at the National Economic Council. Earlier in their career, Anne worked at Great American Media, Clinton For President, and the United States Senate in various roles.
Anne Lewis completed their Bachelor's Degree from Smith College between 1978 and 1982. Anne then pursued further education at Harvard Kennedy School, where they earned a Master's in Public Policy (MPP) between 1982 and 1985.
