Nimo Jama started their work experience in 2016 as a Research Associate at MedImmune, where they were part of a team working on seasonal vaccine strains and studying the factors affecting viral infectivity. In this role, they gained experience in experimental design, documentation, and time management.
Nimo then joined QIAGEN in 2017 as a Technical Assistant within the qPCR department. Here, Nimo worked as part of a team to develop oncological diagnostic kits and gained a deeper understanding of medical device regulations and the importance of documentation. Nimo also gained experience in planning and executing studies.
In 2017, Nimo joined Mission Therapeutics and currently holds the position of Senior Scientist. Their responsibilities in this role include contributing to scientific research and development projects, as well as conducting experiments and data analysis.
Nimo Jama obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Liverpool John Moores University, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Later, they pursued their Master's Degree in Biology of Cancer at the University of Liverpool from 2015 to 2016.
