Ajita Sundar Ram is a Principal Food Scientist at Mission Barns since August 2021, focusing on the development of plant-based protein products. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Scientist at Kalsec Inc., where responsibilities involved developing solutions to enhance color, flavor, and shelf-life in plant-based products. Before that, Ajita worked as an Associate Food Scientist at Swift Prepared Foods, emphasizing product development and quality improvement. A Leadership Development Trainee at JBS USA, training encompassed end-to-end manufacturing processes and quality assurance systems. Earlier roles include Research Assistant at Purdue University, investigating antimicrobial efficacy in meat processing, and Project Assistant at CFTRI, working on probiotic soy yoghurt development. Ajita holds a Master's degree in Food Science from Purdue University and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Sapthagiri College of Engineering.
