John Bear is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Chair of the Board of Directors at Energy Systems Network and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. As Chief Executive Officer at MISO since 2004, John Bear oversees all market operations, including pricing, settlement, and strategic planning. Previous roles include President for the Mid-Atlantic & Mid-Continent Regions at Reliant Resources, where John Bear managed significant operational capacities and commercial activities, and financial leadership positions at Koch Industries and Deloitte & Touche. John Bear holds an MBA in Finance and a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Southern Methodist University, as well as an Advanced Management Program degree from INSEAD.
