Christiaan de Wet's work experience begins in 2002, when they started as a Graduate Trainee and Junior Engineer at Vodacom. Christiaan was responsible for developing C and VXML applications and interfacing with international vendors for voice verification. Christiaan later became a VAS Engineer, focusing on Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), WAP, and OTA. At Ericsson, Christiaan worked as a Solution Architect and Product Manager, specializing in Service Layer products and Operator Enterprise Solutions. Christiaan also worked as a Pre-Sales Engineer at Jinny Software and Concurrent Systems, providing technical solutions to telecommunications operators. In 2013, they joined Intel Corporation as a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, contributing to the sale of Intel ISD solutions. Christiaan became a Director at Computer Traders (Pty) Ltd in 2014 and led the company to become a well-known "One Stop Computer Shop". Christiaan then became a Contractor - NOC Manager at the Universal Phone Company, where they managed the technical team and coordinated the installation of new voice switches and related equipment. Christiaan later worked as a Regional Representative at Peripheral Vision (Pty) Ltd and a Business Development Manager at Blu-Vine Technologies (PTY) LTD. Since 2017, Christiaan has been working at MIS Solutions, Inc. as a BDR and Monitoring Engineer, collaborating to ensure smooth and reliable operations of software and systems.

Christiaan de Wet began their education at Hoërskool Garsfontein from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained their Matric with exemption. Christiaan studied Physical Science, Accounting, Biology, and Math during their time at the school. After completing their secondary education, Christiaan enrolled at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 1997 to 2001. During their time there, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronic Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Christiaan de Wet has also obtained several certifications. In February 2020, they acquired the CompTIA A+ ce Certification from CompTIA. In November 2020, they earned the CCNA certification from Cisco. Later in December 2020, they obtained the CompTIA Network+ ce Certification and the CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS Stackable Certification, both from CompTIA. Most recently, in July 2021, Christiaan obtained the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification and the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification, both from ISACA.
