Damian Gilyana is an experienced research analyst with a focus on environmental, energy, transport, economics, and data visualization, currently employed at the Parliament of NSW since May 2022. Previously, Gilyana served as a planner for Northern Beaches Council, where responsibilities included development infrastructure contributions and strategic land use planning. Gilyana has also been involved with the Planning Institute of Australia as a member of the NSW Young Planners Committee, advocating for young planners and facilitating networking events. Prior roles include consulting and research positions at SGS Economics and Planning and Cred Consulting, as well as an internship at Fairfield City Council. Gilyana holds a First Class Honours degree in City Planning from UNSW and has experience in customer service from earlier roles at HOYTS Group and Fairfield RSL.
