Stephenetta (isis) began their career in 2007 as Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator at Meda - Metropolitan Economic Development Association. From 2008 to 2011, they held the role of Communications Manager at the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, and from 2008 to 2009, they served as Senior Web Producer at VIBE Media | Access Network. From 2009 to 2011, they were Senior Web Producer at UPTOWN Ventures (UPTOWN Magazine), and from 2013 to 2018, they held the role of Director of Digital Media at Hype Hair Magazine and UPTOWN Ventures (UPTOWN Magazine). In 2012, they were Digital Media Strategist & Consultant at Kladé Group, and in 2018, they were Editor-in-Chief at Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder on an interim basis. Most recently, in 2021, they became Director, Digital Transformation at Mirror Digital, and in 2018 they founded Sadiaa Black Beauty Guide, a premier comprehensive U.S.-based online directory for Black-owned hair and beauty brands.
