Jay Mathes, PE, currently serves as the Virtual Construction Civil Lead at Miron Construction Co., Inc., since November 2017, with responsibilities including BIM management, preconstruction planning, MEPFP coordination, visualization, scheduling, sequencing, and modeling/drafting. Previous experience at Alberici Constructors from October 2012 to May 2017 includes roles as Assistant Project Manager and Project Engineer. Earlier positions include Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at Iowa State University from January 2011 to August 2012, an internship at Alberici Constructors in 2010, and another internship at Western Construction Group in 2008. Jay Mathes holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Construction Management and Engineering from Iowa State University (2011-2012) and a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering from the same institution (2006-2010).
