Rex Twedt has worked in various roles since 2010. Rex began their career as a Lab Tech 1 at Cargill in 2010. In 2012, they took on the role of Graphic Designer/Programmer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2013, they became a Graduate Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they updated and maintained software and hardware in computer labs, installed new software and technology, created tutorials for students, and set up events and organized departmental archives. In 2014, they worked as a Medical Illustrator at both the National Museum of Health + Medicine Chicago and ImmersiveTouch, where they created 3d anatomical models, user interfaces for iPad controllers, and instructional videos for surgical simulator and procedures. In 2015, they became an Instructor and Teaching Assistant at CodeAbode, teaching Intro to Javascript Games and Modern Web Design, and HTML/CSS; JavaScript; Node. In 2016, they began working as a Software Engineer at Encurate. Finally, in 2020, they took on the role of Software Engineer at Mirata Software.

Rex Twedt obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Iowa State University in 2010, followed by a Master's degree in Biomedical Visualization from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2014. Prior to this, they studied Anatomy, Fine Arts/Studio Arts, and General at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 2011 to 2012.
