Juha Turunen is a seasoned safety management professional with extensive experience in functional safety processes across various industries. Currently serving as Safety Manager at Mipro Oy since June 2016, Juha oversees safety management, including the development of functional safety processes and compliance with standards such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, and IEC 61508. Previous roles include Functional Safety Manager at DA-Design Oy and SIS Project Coordinator at Valmet Automation, with responsibilities in major international R&D projects. Juha began a career in safety with a focus on electronics and safety standards, holding a Master of Science degree in Electronics from Tampere University of Technology. Additional military experience includes serving as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Finnish Defence Forces, where Juha earned recognition as the Best Guerrilla Leader.
