Alexis focuses her practice on corporate matters such as capital-raising transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. She works with public and private companies in a variety of industries, including biotechnology.
While earning her JD, Alexis worked at Mintz as a Summer Associate in 2020, assisting with a merger and acquisition deal, a Series B financing, and governance matters. She also interned with the Honorable Frank J. Bailey of the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, where she assisted with debt collection claims and cases in the Consumer Protection Division of the Public Protection and Advocacy Bureau. In law school, Alexis served as the president of the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy and vice president of Suffolk’s Black Law Students Association. She was also a Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project fellow.
Before attending law school, Alexis worked in senior leadership development consultant and leadership development consultant roles for a nonprofit focused on women’s issues. Her work for the organization included managing trainings on the organization’s diversity and inclusion efforts and helping to establish partnerships with universities.
