Rob Dove has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Rob began their career as a Scientific Programmer at Sperry Univac in 1980, where they programmed Intel-based firmware for controlling Local Area Network hardware. At Unisys, they worked as an Electrical Engineer, designing factory test stations and programming Fourier transforms on audio signals using ATEasy software.
Moving on, Rob joined Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors in 1994 as a Senior System Engineer. Rob led a team in designing and testing a video controller that merged control, video, audio, and radio from commercial cards. During this time, they also designed an extension to a factory tester and custom circuit boards for functional and environmental testing.
In 2004, Rob became a Senior Hardware Design Engineer at Lockheed Martin, working on the design of a laser pointing device and an extension to a factory tester. Rob was responsible for selecting parts to meet performance requirements and overseeing the work of a team of engineers.
Rob then transitioned to TE Connectivity in 2014, where they were an Electrical Engineer responsible for designing, integrating, and testing a single board computer for fiber optic connector verification. Rob also worked at Scantron Corporation in the same year as an Electrical Engineer, where they designed a circuit board for the latest scanner model.
Currently, Rob is employed by Minnetronix, Inc. as a Senior Electrical Engineer. Rob has held this position since June 2017 and has previously served as an Electrical Engineer at the same company since March 2015.
