Eduardo Suarez

Director Of Culture, Resiliency & Community Engagement at Minnesota National Guard

Eduardo Suarez has a diverse and extensive work experience. Eduardo began their career in 1989 as a member of the International Pistol team at the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU). From 1998 to 2005, they worked as a Landscape Designer and Project Manager at Gustafson Design, Inc. Eduardo then joined the Minnesota National Guard in 2007, where they held various leadership roles. This includes serving as the Director of Communications, Director of Diversity and Inclusion, and Commander of the Recruiting and Retention Battalion. Eduardo also served as the Deputy Commander for the 347th Regional Support Group and Chief of Current Operations for the Joint Forces Headquarters. Eduardo has extensive experience in managing training, operations, and personnel management for both state and federal missions.

Eduardo Suarez has a diverse education history. Eduardo began their education in 1993 at the University of Minnesota, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture in 1996. After a significant gap, Eduardo pursued further education in 2018 at Central Michigan University, earning a Master of Administration degree in Organizational Leadership in 2019. Eduardo then attended The United States Army War College from 2019 to 2021, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Military Strategic Studies, General. Currently, Eduardo is a Humphrey School of Public Affairs Policy Fellow at the University of Minnesota from 2022 to 2023.
