Whitney Woods, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Whitney currently works as a Marketing Coordinator at the Minnesota Historical Society. Prior to this, Whitney was the Owner of Whitney Woods Studio since 2012. Whitney also worked at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, where they held the positions of Operations Coordinator and Gallery Guard. Here, they demonstrated leadership and coordinated large-scale projects for the Security and Janitorial departments, managed budgets, and collaborated with other departments. Whitney also ensured the safety and security of the museum collection and provided customer service to visitors. Whitney briefly served as a Costume Assistant at Lyric Arts Main Street Stage. Furthermore, they gained experience as an Assistant to the Undergraduate Chairs at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where they provided administrative support, designed event posters, and managed travel arrangements for guest lecturers. In their role as the Coordinator of Programs and Volunteers at the Duluth Art Institute, Whitney recruited volunteers, maintained the volunteer program, and developed community engagement programs in the visual arts. Lastly, they worked as a Website Maintenance Specialist at 50 Below, where they modified and proofed web content, learned coding languages, and used Photoshop for graphic updates.
Whitney Woods, MBA, completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in the field of Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Whitney pursued this degree from 2010 to 2012. Following their undergraduate studies, Whitney pursued a graduate degree at The College of St. Scholastica. From 2021 to 2022, they earned an MBA in Leadership and Change.
