M. Ehsan Alam has a diverse work experience. M. Ehsan started off as a Volunteer Writer at the Minnesota Historical Society in 2015. Prior to that, they worked at Fairview Health Services as an Information Professional, where they were responsible for customer/public service, reference, and information access and retrieval. M. Ehsan also supervised volunteers during their time there. In addition, they worked as a self-employed Musician, focusing on writing, orchestrating, and recording music, as well as sound engineering, production, and event planning. M. Ehsan had internships at the Hennepin County Library in 2012 and the James Ford Bell Rare Books Library at the University of Minnesota from 2010 to 2011.
M. Ehsan Alam started their education at the University of Minnesota in 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History. Later, in 2012, they pursued higher education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, specializing in Library and Information Science, and obtained a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree in 2013.
