Anders Mayland has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. In 2009, they worked as a Development Intern at the Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota. Later that year, they served as the Interim Director at the Arts Center of Saint Peter. From 2010 to 2013, Anders worked as the President/CEO of the Saint Peter Area Chamber of Commerce, where they advocated for local businesses and collaborated with community leaders. In 2013, they joined Neighborhood House, initially as the Volunteer & In-Kind Donations Coordinator, and later as the Communications & Digital Content Specialist. In these roles, they managed volunteer programs, coordinated fundraising campaigns, and developed an online visibility strategy. From 2017 to 2019, Anders worked as an English Language Teacher at Nishinomiya City. Currently, they serve as the Site Manager for Oliver Kelley Farm at the Minnesota Historical Society.
Anders Mayland completed their education at Gustavus Adolphus College from 2005 to 2009. Anders earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History during this time. Prior to their college education, Anders attended Southwest Senior High School from 2001 to 2005, where they pursued the International Baccalaureate program.
