Robert Timmerman possesses extensive experience in auditing and finance, currently serving as the Assistant Office Director in the Office of Audit at the Minnesota Department of Transportation since September 2021. Previous roles include Internal Audit and Investigations Supervisor, Sr. Auditor at the MN Office of the Legislative Auditor from 2017 to 2019, and Tax Supervisor at the Minnesota Department of Revenue from 2006 to 2017. In addition, Robert was a former candidate for the Minnesota Senate and briefly self-employed in 2019. Robert holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, along with a certificate in Law Enforcement from Metro State University and further education at Hamline University.
